PVA is again partnering with the Mendon Golf Club to host our third annual golf tournament in an effort to raise funds to replace our fleet of stretchers and cardiac monitors.
Because PVA is not an “essential service” in NYS law, we are unlike our fire and police colleagues and have a limited ability to receive public tax dollars. Instead, we rely heavily on insurance reimbursements and generous donors to help fund our valuable mission. PVA answers nearly 5,000 9-1-1 calls each year – a figure more than double what it was a decade ago. That volume takes a toll on our durable equipment, and without the support of our community, timely replacement of this lifesaving equipment would be incredibly difficult.
